Spotify is a great new piece of software and is now becoming a strong alternative to either buying songs from iTunes,or other like services, and downloading illegally from the internet. Nintendo 3DS

Nintendo are set to release a new DS games console this summer, apart from this time... Its 3D. The device is set to play classic games such as Zelda, Pokemon and Mario in magnificent 3-Dimensions. With many companies now attempting to integrate 3D into their products, its only a matter of time before many similar devices follow suit, its just dissapointing it wasn't the Nintendo Wii that had the makeover.

Google in China

Google has announced that it will be lifting its censored search in China. Chinese residents from now on will be directed to the Hong Kong in simplified chinese, designed for use by people living in mainland China, much to the annoyance of the Chinese Government. The consequence of this move may spur China to block the search engine, by adding it to the Great Firewall of China.

Virgin Media Ultra-Fast Broadband Demo


Virgin Media announced that it would be publicly demonstrating its 200 Mb/second broadband experience tomorrow which will, in the near future, be using Virgin's existing fibre optic system where available. The demo will take place tomorrow at the Ideal Home Show in London.

McLaren's New Supercar


McLaren is to build its newly designed £150,000 supercar in Britain. The car will be produced at a new plant which is currently under construction in Surrey and will cost £40 million. 1,000 of the cars are expected to be sold in 2011 with over 3,000 being sold by the end of the centuary.

Sky 3D

Sky is set to launch its new 3D channel on April 3rd. The main focus of the UK's first 3D channel will be football matches, following the successful trial of the Manchester and Chelsea clash earlier this January.




Microsoft Previews IE9

Microsoft released a preview of its Internet Explorer 9 giving developers a better look at the new web standards and technologies which will be built into the browser. Although the release will not be for at least another year, the new browser will support HTML5, which is a new web protocol which can play videos and lets users access embedded interactive content within websites, without theneed for a 3rd party plug-in such as Adobe Flash.

Sony reveals its motion control system for PS3

Yesterday Evening, Sony's Shuhei Yoshida, the company's president, unveiled PlayStation Move. The new system used a wand like controller, with a light ball on the and of a linear controller. The new motion controller is said to offer greater accuracy than any other predecessor, and has more used than other similar products before it. The controller is set to hit the shelves later this year, just beating the release date of XBox's Project Natal, and will retail at $100/£60.

New OnLive Service Threatens End to Online Gaming as we Know it


A new service, launched today, called OnLive is threatening to take over the online gaming market. Teaming up with companies such as EA, Ubisoft and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, its aim is to stream high quality games over the internet-no download required. The service could see the end of the XBox and PS3 online games, but there is speculation as to how effective the new technology will be. The games offered will be full versions of current and future games, such as Mass Effect II, Assassins Creed II, and Prince of Persia. Google Street View is Going Live

Within the next 24 hours, Google has announced that it will be adding almost every road to its 'Street View' service, rural and urban roads alike. Another 210,000 miles of road pseudo-3D images will be added, on top of the 28,000 miles already available on 'Street View', and Google says that by the end of this week, over 96% of all roads in the UK will be able to be viewed.

HP Introduces New Slate to Rival the iPad

HP revealed its new slate/touchscreen interface today, which, with its integrated Windows 7 operating syatem could rival the giant that is the iPad. "With this slate product, you're getting a full web browsing experience in the palm of your hand" posted Phil McKinney, the vice President and chief technology officer for HP's Personal Group System on the companies blog. The tablet is boasting about its ability to also play flash content online, something that is stopping many consumers from buying the iPad.

The New Amazon Kindle DX


Amazon has unveiled its latest product in the Kindle series, a set of e-readers by the online sales company. In this latest model, content can be downloaded wirelessly. Although the Kindle seems to have lost its Buzz, this new design being larger than the average book and weighing in at over half a kilogram. It still serves its purpose, but now is more like carrying around a small notebook.  
                        

Chrome OS

Google has promised us a 2010 release for their new operating system, Chrome OS, with speed, simplicity and security being the main focus for the purpose of the operating system. Chrome OS runs all applications though its browser with its own tab isolated from other applications running with all its data being "in the cloud" 

Apple sues HTC over Multitouch infringement

Apple has filed two cases with the US International Trade Commission over infringement over technology used in the current iPhone, and Steve Jobs commenting that its "competitors should create their own original technology and not steal their competitors" and also stated that "We can sit by and watch competitors steal our patented inventions, or we can do something about it. We've decided to do something about it."

Skype introduces new client for Nokia phones

Skype, the free conferencing and chat company (which uses VoIP) has released a new client for Nokia's Symbian phones which is available now on the Ovi store.

Valves's Steam is coming to Mac

Found in one of the file directories in the Steam platform, evidence shows code which is formatted to run on a mac. The well known PC game distribution store, which revolutionised the way games were bought may well be making the transition to the OS X and many widely known games becoming available on the mac.

Chrome 4.1 Beta

The new Beta from Google Chrome has more privacy settings than ever before, with users being able to customise how the browser handles cookies, images, JavaScript, other plug-ins and pop-ups.

HP introduces new Elitebook Business Tablet


HP have introduced a set of tablets available at different resolutions, shortly after the release of Apples iPad. They are available in either 2740p or 2540p and both contain a trial of HP's "SkyRoom HD Videoconferencing" software. Picture Below:

Apple - iPad WiFi Problems.

Apple has admitted to its complaining customers, that if the WiFi is not connecting properly, then they should simply move closer to the hotspot, and that there is nothing they can do about it. Many new iPad owners have reported issues including the strength of the WiFi connection and also problems when charging through using the USB charger, and that on some machines, it simply will not charge. Although Apple is looking into the problems, there is likely to be no "quick fix" for this problem, and users of the iPad will simply have to deal with the poor connectivity of the device.
